Attention towards Our Eyes


Beautiful Eyes

Even each and every parts/organs of human body plays a key role in our life but out of all the parts, our eyes also plays crucial role which is undefined. Undefined in the sense , it gives visual-ability, sensibility, feeling, known-ability and many more. Due to some factors like dusting, radiations etc our eyes suffer infections like itching, conjunctivitis, foreign particles etc. Basically many more problems exactly defined by Ophthalmologist( Eye Surgeon). Eyes suffers sight problems like metropia, hypermetropia, presbyopia, astigmatism because of environmental factors, due to stress, aging, cataract, problem in cornea, eye ball etc.
We are here not to make surgery but give relax to our fatigued eye, strained eye by doing some basic exercises/ yoga. Let us start. 

(i) Moving Finger-



The exercise is prescribed by doctors for people who have poor eye muscles.

How to do-

Sit in relaxed position on floor or on chair. Relax your shoulders, keep your neck straight and look forward/ ahead. Take a pen with sharpen head in your right hand and hold it in front of nose and focus on tip. Move the pen away from nose till your arm fully extended and bring back to the starting position. Do at least 10 to 15 times.

(ii) Blinking Eyes-




when we use computer or watching mobile screen constantly without blinking eyes then both eye and mental fatigue caused. This exercise sometimes gives you relax.

How to do-

Sit comfortably on chair without stress, relax your shoulders, straight your neck and spine and look forward. Look an object normally with relaxed eye and then close your eyes and hold this position for 1 second and open your eyes. Repeat this exercise 10 to 15 times in one set and use 3 sets of this activity.

(iii) Eye Roll-




The eye roll exercise is very effective and do it regularly. It can help to strengthen the eye muscles and maintain the good shape. you will really feel good and relaxed after completing exercise.

How to do-

Sit in straight position with relaxed shoulders and spine, neck straight and look forward. Look to your right and slowly roll your eyes up towards ceiling without moving head. Roll your eyes down and shift towards left and roll down toward floor. This activity must be done in clockwise and anticlockwise directions. Repeat this activity 10 to 15 times.

(iv) Rub Down-





This is very favorite exercise for all the persons who care their eyes. This exercise can be done if you wearing contact lenses. This exercise will give you relax from eyes strain.

How to do-

Sit in relax position and rub your both palms briskly until your feel warmth. Close your eyes softly and place your over each eyelid. Feel the warmth seeping into your eyes. Mind that eyeballs should not be press by your palms just put your palms over eyelids. Perform at least 10 to 15 times of this activity.

(v) Flexing Eyes-




As you strengthen your biceps in the same way you must flex your eyes to strengthen the eye muscles.

How to do-

Sit comfortably on chair with straight head and spine( no arching in back bone) and look forward. Move your eyeballs up without moving neck and head then move eyeballs down. Now look to your extreme right and then left. Condition is that head must be remain unmoved. Do this activity at least 10 times.

(vi) Writing Messages-




This exercise that soothes the eyes and tones the eye muscles. Doing this exercise regularly you will feel great difference in agility of your eye muscles.

How to do-

Look at blank wall about 8 to 10 feet away. Suppose you are writing on blank wall with the help of eyes in place of using hands.This activity makes the eye muscles to move rapidly in different directions and it strengthen the activity of eye muscles. Do this activity for at least 20 seconds. Repeat such 3 sets.
